Theme: The Road to Salvation
Text: Romans 10:9-13
EMHB 360 – Happy the man that finds the grace.
Memory Verse: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
DAY: Act 3; NIGHT: Job 8-9
Salvation of man, which could have been impossible, was made possible and very simple for man. How can man achieve this righteousness?
First, God is the One who makes this righteousness possible. Apostle Paul quotes Deut. 30:13-14 to demonstrate that the righteousness of God that comes by the faith in Christ as the way of salvation, is neither difficult nor inaccessible but easy to attain (Rom. 10:5). No one needs to ascend to heaven to find Him or descend to the deep to wake Him up. (Rom. 10:6-7). All has been done, and all that we have to do is believe. It is this belief and this confession that bring salvation (Romans 10:10; Acts 16:31; 1 Cor. 12:3; Phil. 2:11).
Second: this righteousness is accessible to anyone who believes. “Anyone who trust in Him will never be put to shame” (Rom. 10:11). That is how available the gospel is to both Jews and Gentiles (Rom. 10:12-13). Accepting Christ is the factor that unites people of all backgrounds.
Third: to attain this righteousness, one has to hear the gospel through the sending of preachers, the preaching of the good news, the hearing of the message preached, and the favourable response to the message, which is believing in Christ and calling on the Name of the Lord.
Every believer must be involved in some or all of the above steps if others are to hear the message of God’s salvation. Those who bring good news to others are blessed (Rom. 10:15b) and wise (Prov. 11:30).
Are you saved? Then rise for the salvation of others. Prov. 11:30b says “… he that winneth souls is wise.”
PRAYER: God loves us, Christ redeems us, The Holy Spirit enables us. Holy Trinity! We worship Thee. Amen.
