Daily Reflection: WHEN YOU WALK WITH GOD/MONDAY 6TH NOVEMBER, 2017

MONDAY 6TH NOVEMBER, 2017                                                             READ – DAY: John 20; Night: Jer 25-26

THEME: WHEN YOU WALK WITH GOD

TEXT:     GENESIS 17: 1 – 8

HYMN:  EMHB 516 – When we walk with the Lord

When contract is signed between two parties, there are always conditions which the two have to meet before final agreement is signed and cordial relationship is established.  The purpose of God creating human beings in His own image is for us to partner with Him. The benefits of this partnership are mainly for the good of humanity. God called Abraham out from darkness for the purpose of entering into covenant with Him. The fulfilment of the terms of the covenant demands that he walks with God with undivided loyalty, total devotion, commitment and dedication to His cause. If he walks with God, God promised Him that he would be father of many nations. God changed Abraham’s name which indicates a change of destiny. He made Him fruitful. He made an everlasting covenant of blessing with Him and his unborn generations. God told Abraham would that he possess the land of Canaan.

Believers are called out from darkness into the glorious light of Jesus Christ, to walk before God and be blameless. When you walk with God, your future is guaranteed in Him. You become the apple of His eyes. You have maximum security. You become His anointed prophet which no evil can touch or do any harm to. He abides with you in all circumstances.  The blessings of Abraham are yours. Above all, you have peace with Him and will reign with Him at the end of the age.

MEMORY VERSE: Gen. 17: 4 “…Behold My covenant is within you, and you shall be the father of many of nations.”

PRAYER:  Everlasting Father, give me the grace to walk with You all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
