DAILY REFLECTION – Tuesday 21st March 2017- Value of Friendship

TUESDAY 21ST MARCH, 2017 READ – Day: 2 Cor 3-4; Night: Num 8-9
THEME: VALUE OF FRIENDSHIP
TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 4:9-12
HYMN: EMHB 714 – He wants not friends that hath Thy Love,

An adage says: “Friendship is by choice but being born into a family is through God’s Providence”. One of the most vital and critical decisions that you can ever make for your ultimate success in life is your choice of the people with whom you habitually associate. You simply must get around, and hang out with the right people. There is wisdom in two working together; one must make an effort to find others with whom to work. Unity is strength.
Man cannot live in isolation. Companionship is friendly and comfortable working together for common goal. Those who do good to others will never be working alone, for their good works can draw others to their side. Selfless people are never lonely. Don’t isolate yourself from others; associate yourself with people of like minds. Choose one whose values and beliefs are aligned with yours; one that you can enthusiastically support. There are always more opportunities for you when you associate yourself with people of like minds in pursuance of what is good all the time.
When there is healthy partnership, it produces:
• Accomplishment;
• Complement;
• Warmth and support;
• Strength,
Get yourself around people, associate with good and honest people. When there is a good companionship it draws the attention of better company. Make effort today to relate with Christian people. William Shakespeare says “Words are easy like wind; faithful friends are hard to find.” Endeavour to seek peace with one another and cordiality will be the result.

MEMORY VERSE: Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity”.

PRAYER: Lord, don’t allow me to journey with people who will destroy my joy and merchandise in Jesus’ name. Amen.
