DAILY REFLECTION – Submitting to Divine Assignment | Saturday 22nd April

SATURDAY 22ND APRIL, 2017 READ – Day: 2 Tim 3-4; Night: Josh 6-9
TEXT: LUKE 22:39-46
HYMN: EMHB 578 – A charge to keep I have

There is always a price to pay and a sacrifice to make when the call of God is upon the life of a man. And note that everyone in God has a divine purpose in destiny. This purpose is not without cost and the higher the cost the higher the assignment. What Christ presents to us in today’s reading indicates that of our own we have no strength to cope with the divine mandate upon our lives without His strength. Ultimately when the going goes tough we are supposed to rely on God and admit to do His will whatever the situation is.
Jesus in human position demonstrated that we can get to a point in our life that it appears the will of God is painful and dangerous by our assessment but we must realize that if it is of God then no other alternative is better than His choice for us.

MEMORY VERSE: Matt. 6:10 “Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

PRAYER: Father in heaven as Jesus prayed, I pray same – not my will but your will oh God in every area and challenge in my life.
