DAILY REFLECTION – Oh Lord, have Mercy on me | Tuesday 25th April

TUESDAY 25TH APRIL, 2017 READ – Day: Mark 1; Night: Josh 15
TEXT: PSALM 6:1-10
HYMN: EMHB 538 – What a friend we have in Jesus

As long as we are on this side of eternity, there would always be moments of disappointment, depression, unfulfilled promises, unforeseen circumstances, and the likes in our lives. These circumstances in themselves are not the issue, but our reaction in such situations. It is pertinent to note what or whom we turn to for succour in such times. Some go for drinking, partying, hard drugs, worrying, or go to pagans [anyone or means that seems to give a faster answer than we feel God is giving]. However, King David turned to Jehovah who is able to save and save ultimately. All other means may soothe us but it is for a while.
What is the turbulence within your soul today and for how long? We have a sure anchor in the Lord who is able to save us; for by two immutable things, it is impossible for God to lie. He will save you as you turn to Him for help. He will show you mercy as He has promised us to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace in time of need.

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 6:4 “Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of Your unfailing love.”
PRAYER: Lord I approach the Throne of Grace this morning to obtain every mercy available for me in the path of life, in Jesus’ name.
