Daily Reflection: God is For Us – Sunday 18th March 2018

DAILY REFLECTION

SUNDAY 18TH MARCH, 2018

THEME: GOD IS FOR US
TEXT:    ROMANS 8:31-39
MEMORY VERSE: ROMANS 8:37 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

There is a popular saying: “One with God is a majority.” The crystal and clear world will always be a battle ground for the survival of the fittest. Scripture is crystal and clear about what should be the stand of believers in Christ: “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom. 12:2).

Paul, in his characteristic manner, uses the power of words to give the picture of what God has done for man through the crucified Jesus. Satan and his emissaries are on the prowl to devour Christians and the righteous. To Paul, though the accusation may be rife against us, as God justifies us through Christ, we are more than conquerors. No one–not even satan-should be able to take away believers in Christ from God. Our lives must be so deeply rooted in Jesus Christ that none of the 17 things mentioned in the text should separate us from the love of Christ, a sinless man who died a shameful death on the Cross for our sins.

Dear brethren, though you are condemned by the world, know that Christ died for you, rose for you and continues to intercede for you at the right hand of His Father in heaven. Flee to Him. King Solomon saw the entire world with its grandeur and splendour and he said “All is vanity.” Know that whatever you have in this world, you will leave them one day to give account of your stewardship before God. Take a stand today and sing this song:
I have decided to follow Jesus (3ce)
No turning back 2ce
The world behind me, the cross before me (3ce)
No turning back 2ce

HYMN:    EMHB 468 – NEARER MY GOD TO THEE

PRAYER: Eternal Rock of Ages, give me enablement to walk with You till the end of my life in Jesus’ name Amen.

I WISH YOU A BLESSED SUNDAY WORSHIP
