DAILY REFLECTION – From the Known to the Unkwown | Monday 24th April

MONDAY 24TH APRIL, 2017 READ – Day: Phile 1; Night: Josh 12-14
TEXT: JOHN 16:12-16
HYMN: EMHB 282 – Spirit of wisdom, turns Our Eyes…..

When John was concluding the writing of his gospel about Christ, He said there are many things Christ did that were not written because the entire library in the world cannot contain it (John 21:25). This is all in a short life of about 33 years. No wonder Christ said in this place in verse 12, that there were many things He wanted to tell us but we could not take them there. He went ahead to commit the assignment of telling us more to the third person in the Trinity – the Spirit of God.
A Christian without a close union with the Holy Spirit is a half-baked believer who cannot see beyond his nose. The depth of revelation for our successful Christian living is resident in the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our journey of faith. Jesus has said that the Holy Spirit will take of Him and show it unto us – (John 16:15). I invite you to an in-depth relationship with the Holy Spirit; you need to move beyond the known to the unknown, just like the Ephesian church in Acts 19:1-7. They knew only about the teaching and baptism of John the Baptist, but their encounter with teaching on the Holy Ghost by Apostle Paul changed their lives and experience with God in no small measure. Holy Ghost working is real and He can tell us more than we have known now as Christ said, if we open our lives to Him through His baptism.
Are you still skeptical?

MEMORY VERSE: Deut. 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this.”
PRAYER: Holy Spirit move me now, make my life whole again, Spirit move over me, Spirit move over me.
