SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER, 2017                                                READ – DAY: Luke 24; Night: Neh 12-13

TEXT: MATTHEW 14: 22 – 29

HYMN: EMHB 615 – Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah

Just as our Lord Jesus Christ sent His disciples in Matthew 14:22; He is sending you today to the other side, the unknown Year 2018. The Lord is asking you to forget the miracles and testimonies of yesterday; He is about to do a new thing in your life, therefore press forward. (Isaiah 43: 18 & 19)

As the disciples were going to the other side, a storm arose at night, in the middle of the sea but the Lord showed up. Likewise, in every situation and circumstance of your life as you go into the new year, the Lord will show up. “When you pass through the waters, He will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isaiah 43:2)

Peter jumped out of the boat and began to walk on water because he received, believed and obeyed the Word of Christ and an impossibility becomes a possibility. Likewise as you receive, confess, meditate, believe and obey the Word of God in the New Year; you will walk on the waters of life. Every form of impossibility in your life will become possible. You will overcome poverty, sickness, contrary situations, the power of the enemy and death. The Lord will go before you, the power of the Holy Spirit will sustain you and God will be your rear Guide (Isaiah 52:12). Surely, we will reach our glorious destination – Let us go to the other side in the Name of Jesus.

MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 14:22 “Immediately, Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.”

PRAYER: My Lord and my God, as I go to into the New Year 2018, let your presence, grace, power, glory, blessings, mercy and goodness go with me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
